Happy Halloween everyone!!!! I just love this time of year, but once it gets here it goes way too fast! I am watching Halloween right now, my all time favorite movie! I love horror movies and have been watching nothing else! I think I watched 30 in the past 2 weeks. Tomorrow I probably won't be able to find any on the tube :( lol. HAVE A SPOOKTACULAR DAY!!!!!!
I miss the days of being able to go on the battlefield after dark. My hubby and I did that every year on Halloween weekend. It is a very sad place, and certainly a creepy experience after dark. We have had many odd occurences there, as many people do.
A couple of things that were left behind was this great ladder!!! This hutch was left sitting in this spot and I haven't moved it. I want to rip it apart and restore it. I got all the green shutters too, also a bunch of chairs and an old wooden bench that is in the cellar. I will have to take a pic of that.
My project. 2 years ago we bought the house next to us. It has 2 apartments upstairs and one on the entire first floor. We compeletly renovated it. The property has a couple of building on it, along with the garage. It was an elderly couple who lived there and they kept everything!!!! I got some great old things at the sale and a few things were left behind. The family worked for an entire year to empty this house for the sale and what ever was left afterwards we just told them not to worry about it and we would get rid of it when we got dumpsters.. I claimed this building for myself right away. My dream is to restore it. The floor is sagging and some wood needs replaced, and I want to paint it. Luckily the roof does not leak. I want to be able to move my crafting area to there. This is what it looks like now.

I am enjoying the summer, and I know it's only July, but I am starting to get that "I can't wait until fall feeling"!!! I love being inside, nice and cozy, turning on my lil lights, burning candles. During the summer months I tend to put some things away to give the house a lighter, cooler feel, and in the fall make it more cozy looking! I can't wait!!!

I stopped by the thrift store this morning looking for a pasta machine to use for polymer clay for jewelry making. They didn't have one which I would of been surprised if they did, but hey you never know what they will have at the thrift store! I did find this though!! I am going to put it out in my hair salon to put bracelets in that I make. That way I can keep the drawer closed and will protect the jewelry from the air, hairspray ect... I started painting it a cream color! It is pretty cool. It is made with no nails! Paid 7.00 for it which I thought was a lil much, but the money goes to a good cause, and I wanted it!! :)
It has been on my to do list for awhile now to make some sort of bag. As a kid I learned to sew on my great Aunt Amy's treadle sewing machine. It was just the basics and I always made little totes and such. Sooo this is what I am going to tackle. It may require a nap before I read the directions!
